Walton expanding foothold in Nepal

Walton, a local manufacturer of electronics and electrical goods, is gradually expanding its foothold in Nepalese market, sources said.
In a bid to penetrate the Nepal market, earlier, the authorities of Walton have undertaken a coordinated marketing plan by engaging distributor of Walton products in the Himalayan state.
Director of the Rida Incorporated Private Ltd Sarfaraj Ansari said, “Nepalese are very satisfied over the affordable price and high quality of Walton products. Due to its diversification in color and model, Walton brand products have been able to attract the attention of people in Nepal”.
Rida Incorporated Private Ltd is working as a sole distributor of Walton products in Nepal.
“We have taken massive marketing plan to enlarge the market share of Walton brand products in the country. As part of the initiative, our company has started appointing dealers in all 75 districts in Nepal,” he added.
He further said, apart from this, we would soon start promotional activities through advertisement in print and electronic media in Nepal.
Sarfaraj Ansari expressed the hope that Walton will be able to dominate the Nepal market soon, as products of the company are still competitive than any other brands in Nepal.
Suraj Bhadia, former president of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, said, “There is a huge demand for Walton products in Nepal. I hope Walton products will be able to gain huge popularity in Nepal, if it maintains standard of products”.
Khan Md. Moinul Hossain, first secretary (trade promotion and culture) of Bangladesh embassy to Nepal, said, “Nepal could be a potential market for Walton products if the takes aggressive marketing plan.”
“Walton brand products are very affordable in prices and very high standard in quality compared to other brands in Nepal. Specially, prices of Walton products are lower from the products of its two main competitors-LG and Samsung. So, there is a chance for Walton to secure the top position among the global brands in Nepal”.
