Waiting For An Effective Vaccine

The novel Coronavirus has been a major cause of the unprecedented illness, mortality and economic recession for the past seven months. Safe, effective and deplorable vaccines as soon as possible to prevent this global epidemic are now a crying need . But when will we get the coronavirus vaccine?
The answer to this question is still scrappy. Competition has been going on around the world for a long time to find an effective vaccine. It is known that work is going on in 150 countries for this. Efforts are also being made to create vaccines in our country. A total of six organizations have registered with the World Health Organization for their invented vaccines. There, three of them have completed the third trial and the third trial of the remaining three is underway. Meanwhile, Russia has announced that it’s first-ever antidote, Sputnik-5, is 100 percent safe and has been launched. Israeli Health Minister Yuli Edelstein says they are interested in testing a third dose of the Russian vaccine. If it proves to be an important product after the trial, they will sit down with Russia to buy the vaccine. However, people have become skeptical after seeing so much rush for vaccination. The smell of politics and business is being found in it. The Russian people think it’s a surprise. They see it as the first victory in the vaccine discovery competition and the Soviet success in 1957 through the launch of the first lunar spacecraft, Sputnik.
Russia’s main rival, the United States, was surprised by the announcement. The United States didn’t think it’s a big deal for them to be the first – they prioritize safety and effectiveness for vaccination. The US Secretary of Health and Human Services responded by saying that it is not a competition as to who will get the coronavirus vaccine first. We have six vaccines in the second stage. The Russian vaccine only entered the second stage. Even they did not disclose the details of the initial trials. We do not have the exact information.
Russia is not on the World Health Organization’s list of vaccines. However, Bangladeshi doctors in Russia also said that the process by which Sputnik-5 was developed and tested has so far seemed to be 100% safe. Our embassy has started working to get the vaccine. Russia has good relations with Bangladesh, so we can get this vaccine on priority basis. Although Moderna of the United States, Oxford of the United Kingdom, Sinovac of China and many more companies have gone through the third phase of trials with their vaccines, but it is not known when those will hit the market. China’s Sinovac is keen to come to Bangladesh for their third trial. They have applied for it through icddr,b.
People are getting disappointed to hear many words of hope to solve the Corona problem. We all know there is no magical solution in anyone’s hands at the moment. News of deaths around the world hurts us every day. For good news, we look all day at the TV screen to get good news. At this time, there is no end to the suffering of those whose family members or close relatives are affected. Many have been deprived of food, drink and sleep.
It is still not known whether all the people of the world faced such a difficult calamity at the same time as ever before or not. However, the best creatures of creation have been able to find a way to survive in the face of repeated catastrophes. The ability of knowledge has been given to man by the great Creator. No matter who gets the first place in the invention of the vaccine – we believe that the relentless efforts of human survival to conquer Corona will soon be successful in finding effective solutions through the discovery of an effective vaccine.
