The programs for updating the voter list in Chittagong metropolitan city area begins yesterday ahead of the forthcoming city corporation election in next year.
The activities of voter list updating will be conducted in 41 wards of the city. The information collectors will collect data upto September 10 next visiting door to door of the city dwellers.
The programs for taking photographs will begin from Septemer 18 next.
In the meantime, Election commission, Chittagong office engaged 1,236 data collectors and 300 supervisors in the city for undergoing this voter list programs.
The programs of updating the voter list will be monitored from 6 thana based election office in City.
District election office sources said the schedule for taking photographs of the new voters fixed from October 29 to November 15 next for the dwellers under Kotwali election office.
The same program under Panchalaish thana EC office fixed from September 18 to October 29 next. Under Changaonthana EC office, the same program will be conducted from September 18 to October 26 next.
Under double mooringthana it will be conducted from October 19 to November 15 next and in Bandar thana EC area the same program will launch from September 18 to October 17. The photographs taking program will be enforced from October 28 to Novemeber 15 under Pahartali thana EC office.
Mentionable that Election Commissioner AbdulMobarak disclosed the probable date for next CCC election either in April or May in next year.
