The closing ceremony of a four-day Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training workshop was held at the auditorium of Begum Badrunnessa Govt Mohila College on Sunday. The Hunger Project Bangladesh organized the workshop.
Prof Rowshan Akter Departmental Head of Social Work Department of Begum Badrunnessa Govt Mohila College was present as chief guest, Nasima Akter Joly Deputy Director of the Hunger Project Bangladesh, Uzzal Hossain, Deputy Director of Bisshaw Shahitya Kendra and Murshiqul Islam Shimul, Regional Coordinator of the Hunger Project Bangladesh were present as special guest.
About 32 Participants joined the training workshop. In the concluding session, participants designed 2 social action projects for raising awareness of the community people.
Prof Rowshan Akter said, we are very much committed to our students. We are always ready to help such types of activates. I would like to thanks Hunger Project to implement Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training in our institution. He also said, extracurricular is the effective tool to develop self-development. This training is out of syllabus.
She also said self-development through leadership training and evolvement is the key to develop a nation. Youth is the proper time to develop leadership. I think, these students are lucky to get such training. Any type of training would make skilled citizen. But we have lack of skilled citizen. I would like to thanks Hunger Project to implement Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training in our institution. Nasima Akter Joly said now Bangladesh is in demographic dividend. It is the strength of our country. But, Bangladesh is unable to exploit the full potential of the demographic dividend, as it cannot create adequate number of jobs for the working-age population.
