UN should take action against India’s border killing: Labour Party

The leaders of the Bangladesh Labour party on Friday asked the United Nations (UN) for taking action to stop India from killing the Bangladeshis near the international borders.
“It is very much important on the part of the UN to keep India refrained from killing Bangladeshi people in the border areas,” Dr. Mustafizur Rahman Iran, Chairman of the party said while addressing a protest programme in front of National Press Club on Friday.
The programme was orgainsed as a mark of protest against the killings of four Bangladeshis at Kaligonj in Lalmonirhat and Kanaighat in Sylhet districts recently.
Dr. Iran said, India has been continuously killing the innocent people ignoring international laws.
He accused the Bangladesh government’s ‘subservient’ policy for the continuing death of the innocent people in the hands of the Border Security Force of India.
“India is killing our people without any valid reason continuously near the borders. They ignored all protests and requests from Bangladesh ends.” So, the government should take up the issue with the UNO and the Security Council, said a conscious citizen of he country.
The function was also addressed by the Jatiya Party (Jamal) Secretary General Ahsan Habib Lincon, Muslim League Secretary General Advocate Zulfiqar Bulbul Chowdhury, General Secretary of the Sammyabadi Dal, Comrade Dr. Nurul Islam, Vice-Chairman of the Labour Party Md. Moslem Uddin, Joint-Secretary General Humaun Kabir and NDM Organizing Secretary Nuruzzaman, among others.
The speakers also condemned India’s continuous killings spree against Bangladeshi people in the border areas.
They asked the people to protest and prevent the India’s heinous activities through unite movement.
