Two suspected robbers killed in Kushtia

Two suspected robbers were killed in two separate incidents of so called encounter with police in Sadar and Bheramara upazilas on early Wednesday.
The bodies were sent at Kushtia 250-bed Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased were identified as Sobhan Ali, 37, and Hasanuzzaman, 35,
On the basis of secret information a team of police of Bheramara police station launched a drive to nab Hasanuzzaman aliases Lalan and his team mates while they were taking a preparation to commit a robbery at doshmile area in Bahirchar union under Bheramara upazila in the early hours of Wednesday said officer-in-charge of Bheramara Police Station Nur Hossain Khandakar.
However, sensing police presence the cohorts of Lalon opened fire targeting police. Police returned the fire which lasted for a few minutes. As a result the assailants of Lalon fled the scene following the heavy action of police. Police found the body of Lalon who caught into crossfire during the shootout. The slain Lalon hailed from Gangni upazila of Meherpur district and a son of Alimuddin.
On the other hand, a suspected member of a gang Sobhan Ali, 38, son of Nooruddin of Monoharpur village under Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia was killed in a crossfire with police. The family claimed that he was in Natore district for a long time.
