Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized ‘Take Off Programming Competition Summer-2017’ at CSE building, DIU recently. Student of 1st semester and 2nd semester of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department and Software Engineering (SWE) Department were the participants of the competition.
Prof Dr Syed Akhter Hossain, Head, Department of CSE was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners. Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Associate Professor (Adjunct), Department of CSE, DIU, Shah Md Tanvir Siddiquee, Senior Lecturer, Department of CSE, Mahmud Sajjad Abeer, Vice President, Computer and Programming Club and student Muhaiminul Islam Zim were also present at the prize giving ceremony.
Fuad Hasan became championship while Md. Jubaer Hossain became 1st Runner Up and M. Imamul Hassan Khan became 2nd Runner up in the competition.
Beside these, ten students among the participants were began winner and get prize money with certificate.
While addressing as the chief guest at the prize distribution program Prof Dr Syed Akhter Hossain said, this competition is arranged only for increasing the confidence level and competence of the students.
CSE Department of DIU is always arranging this type of competition in each semester. Today’s one is the 5th phase of this Endeavour.  
Prof Dr Syed Akhter Hossain also emphasized that nowadays ICT Skills are potential every students and anyone neglecting ICT Skills will lay behind in all aspects in this competitive age and for this students should prepare themselves from their student life.
