Two matches of Inter-College & University Basketball meet decided in opener

Two matches of the Freedom fighter Kazi Kamal Uddin Inter-College & University Basketball were decided on the first day on Thursday at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium.
On the first day of the competition, Shaheed Kamruzzaman Degree College of Rajshahi beat Dhaka University by 55-33 points after leading the first half by 37-14 points while Notre Dame University defeated Islamic University of Gazipur by 51-11 points after dominating the first half by 19-8 points.
Earlier, Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) general secretary and South Asian Basketball Association secretary Lieutenant General AK Sarkar (retd.) formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
Twelve universities and colleges, split into four groups, are participating in the meet, organized by BBF.
Participating teams:
Group A – Dhaka University, Shaheed Kamruzzaman Govt. Degree College, Rajshhahi and BRAC University.
Group B – Jahangir University, IUB and Vertical Horizon. Group C- Islamic University of Technology of Gazipur, Notre Dame University and North South University.
Group D – Islamic University of Kushtia, Daffodil University and Saint Joseph College.
