Ishwardi police have arrested two people with a truck and a large quantity of weapons while preparing for a robbery in Ishwardi on Friday evening, Two separate cases were registered against the accused at Ishwardi Police Station under the preparation for robbery and Arms Act, said Officer-in-Charge Arvind Sarkar.
According to police sources, a patrol team of Ishwardi Police Station was on duty at around 2.15 pm on Thursday when a group of miscreants was parked on the north side of Wapdar at Char Mirkamari Paschimpara Shankaregari Junction on the basis of secret information. Police arrested two men when the robbers tried to escape when the operation was conducted immediately. And the rest fled.
The accused Jahangir (40) father Madhu Mia, village: Goalpara police station, Palashbari district Gaibandha and Mehedul Islam Midul (29) father Zahidul Kuki village: Jibanpur police station – Shibganj, district – Bogra’s body floor.
