A dealer of a company has gone into hiding after taking about Tk 5.0 million from 10 traders in Chhatak Upazila under Sunamganj district.
The man, along with his family members has gone into hiding since Sunday night, locals alleged. His whereabouts couldn’t be known even despite repeated search at places. The man has left the area quietly, they alleged further.
Biswajit Baishnab was known was a dealer of Akij Food and Beverage for three years and had been living at a rented house in the Bagbari residential area at Chhatak Upazila town. Prior to his engagement in business, he had served as a staff for 9 years at the local farm named Pal Brothers.
His cell phone has been found switched off, said another trader Joglul Ahmed. The cheated traders sat at a meeting Monday to discuss about steps against the man.
After the meeting, trader Saad Mia of Bagbari area filed a general diary with the Chhatak thana on Monday night alleging Biswajit had misappropriated Tk 5.0 million from different traders before going into hiding.
