A Dhaka court yesterday placed top terror Jishan’s cohort Mazharul Islam alias Shakil, 35, on a three-day remand in a case filed over arms.
Magistrate Shahinur Rahman of the CMM Court passed the order on Sunday. Earlier, Mohammadpur Police Station Sub-Inspector Morshed Alam produced him in the court seeking seven days’ remand.
On Saturday morning, RAB arrested Shakil from capital’s Mohammadpur. Two foreign pistols, two magazines and six rounds of bullets were recovered from his possession. Later, RAB-2 Inspector Mohammad Abdul Hamid Khan filed a murder case against him under the Arms Act.
