11th National Parliamentary elections: Candidates start campaign in 6 Rajshahi constituencies

The candidates of six constituencies in Rajshahi district have already started their campaign for the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections. Returning officer in Rajshahi election commission and district administrator SM Abdul Kader on Monday distributed symbols among the candidates.
After receiving symbols, they started campaign openly by hanging posters, banners and festoons in six constituencies across the district.
Among the heavyweight candidates, Omar Faruk Chowdhury has got boat symbol while former minister Aminul Haque has got paddy symbol for Rajshahi-1 constituency (Godagari-Tanore).
In Rajshahi-2 (Sadar) constituency, Fazle Hasan Badsha, a leader of workers’ party has been distributed boat symbol while Mizanur Rahman Minu has been given paddy symbol.
In Rajshahi-3 (Paba-Mahanpur) constituency, Ayen Uddin has been selected for boat symbol while Shofiqul Haque Milon for paddy symbol.
In Rajshahi-4 (Bagmara) constituency, engineer Anamul Haque has been nominated for boat symbol while former MP Abu Hena nominated for paddy symbol.
In Rajshahi-5 (Puthia-Durgapur) constituency, Dr. Munsur Rahman has collected boat symbol while former MP Nadim Mostofa collected paddy symbol.
In Rajshahi-6 (Charghat-Bagha) constituency, MP Shahriar Alam, the state minister for foreign affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh collected boat symbol while Abu Syed Chad collected paddy symbol.
On the other hand, six candidates of the six constituencies in Rajshahi from Islami Andolan Bangladesh have collected hand-fan symbols separately.
 A total of 25 candidates will compete against the six constituencies in Rajshahi for the upcoming national parliamentary elections.
