A team of joint forces in a drive seized Tk 80 lakh in cash and various documents, including subscription receipts, from the house of the military chief of United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) in Jamtoli area of Sadar upazila early Friday.
Tareque Mohammad Abdul Hannan, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station, said the team conducted the raid on the house of Pradipan Khisa in the area from 12:30am to 5:15am.
During the drive, they recovered Tk 80 lakh in cash, subscription receipts and other important files.
However, Pradipan Khisa was not at the house during the raid, the OC said.
