Police recovered the throat-slit body of a madrasa student from a field in Dangapara village of sadar upazila early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Nur Islam, 20, son of Jasim Uddin of the area and also a student of Khoshbazar Kamil Madrasa.
Being informed by locals, police recovered the body early Friday, said Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
The body was sent to sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy, he said adding that the reason behind the killing could not be known yet. Family members, however, said the victim went out after someone called him on Thursday midnight over mobile phone but did not return.
