Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained three people along with huge quantity of Phensedyl Cough Syrup in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat on Friday morning.
The detainees are Faruk Hossain, 35, and Obayedul Talukder, 22, residents of Kalai upazila of the district; and Mahbub Ali Sayed, 35, of Hakimpur upzila of Dinajpur.
RAB-5 Joypurhat camp company commander additional police super MM Mohaimenur Rashid said on information, a team of RAB conducted a drive in Latihati area in the morning and detained the trio along with 727 bottles of Phensedyl syrup from a truck.
RAB also recovered three mobile phones, Tk 14,500 in cash, and a stone-laden truck.
A case has been filed with Panchbibi Police Station in this connection, Mohaimenur Rashid said .
