BSS, Chittagong :
Chittagong District Police arrested three drug peddlers with 2,060 pieces of yaba tablets after searching two separate city-bound buses in Badamtala and Shantirhat areas under Patiya thana of the district on Friday noon.
The arrested were identified as Momtaj Mia, 32, Saydur Rahman, 45, both hailed from Ramu upazila under Cox’s bazar district and Mohammad Ali, 52, of Motiyarpool area under Doublemooring thana in the city.
On a tip-off, members of Patiya Thana Police conducted a drive at separate Chittagong-bound passengers’ buses from Cox’s bazar district and arrested the drug peddlers with the contraband yaba tablets at around 2.30 pm.
Two separate cases were filed with Patiya Thana in this connection.
