Police arrested an alleged terrorist with bullet wounds during a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy in Shangkarpur Ashram Road area in the district town on Tuesday night.
The arrestee was identified as Rony alias Dant Bhanga Rony,22, son of Ruhul Amin, a resident of the area.
Sub-inspector Shoeb Uddin of Kotwali Police Station said there had been a longstanding dispute between two groups-one led by Yeasin and another by Rabbi-over establishing dominion in the area. A clash erupted following an altercation between the supporters of the two groups in the area at about 6:30 pm.
