Scope of research inadequate

Research scope in Bangladesh is generally inadequate among graduate and postgraduate students. Many students do not know critical thinking and analysis. Students concentrate on reading materials and do not construct their own opinions and logic based on research. However, research in Bangladesh prefaces in universities for graduate or post-graduate programs. This causes trouble for a student, because he is not familiar with research methodologies. Research tasks should start at an undergrade level to amplify research skills. Our education system is already way behind international standards.
Moreover, our universities have a small number of research centers and those are ill-equipped. As a result, there is low quality research conducted. Shortage of funds for research is another bottleneck, especially for PhD research programs. The government should give schemes and fund facilities for students who are interested in research.

Diving deep into books!

block

Books are an intricate yet effortless bearer of powerful words that are capable of changing us from within unlike anything else. The thing I love most about reading is that it allows you to teleport to a different world fashioned from your imagination all while sitting in your room. My books are my very own portals to another universe where neither I nor my problems exist.
A good book doesn’t only trap me inside, it also allows me to live another life through the story and feel every emotion starting from euphoria to misery. And along the way, I fall in love with the characters whose traits and experiences are so relatable that I develop a deep and intimate connection with them that comforts me and somehow make my flaws feel valid.

Informal workers should be well-paid

The Global Wage Report 2020-21 has disclosed that Bangladesh positioned last among the countries paying minimum wages in the Asia-Pacific region. According to the ILO, in terms of production capacity, workers in the informal sectors in Bangladesh get lower wages than any other country in the world.
Our informal workers have better productivity and they produce more even though they remain ill-paid. If reasonable wages are paid, workers will work harder, which will benefit both the industries and the owners. Therefore, the authorities concerned and the owners should rethink the issue of determining worthy wages.
