Terrorist attack in Spain is abhorrent

TWO back-to-back terrorist attacks have occurred in Spain shocking the peace-loving people again all over the world. On Thursday, a van sped down a pedestrian walkway, hitting scores of people at Las Ramblas in tourist city of Barcelona. Just within 8 hours after the incident another terrorist attack had been attempted at Cambrils where five men drove a car through a roadblock and plowed down a walkway along the beach on Friday. Their acts only showed their mindless desperation to terrorize the civilized world. They got nothing by killing some and maiming others except venting criminal anger on innocent people.
Spanish police however, killed 5 terrorists and saved many people that time. The attack in Barcelona killed 13 people and injured more than 100. The victims were from at least 34 countries – a reflection of Barcelona’s popularity as a tourist destination. In addition to the U.S. the list ranges from Germany and Australia to Kuwait and Peru. As usual, ISIS took responsibility of those attacks. These types of attacks may occur frequently all over the world. These terrorist groups are enemy of humanity and it appears that they have taken oath to destroy harmony from this planet.
In last 13 months they have led attacks in France, Germany, Sweden and UK several times. In the beginning, ISIS terrorist used firearms or explosives; but now they are using vehicles. The reason behind this is that it is harder to arrange and move with firearms or explosives, while it is easier to arrange a vehicle without creating any suspicion. These terrorists using Islamic names are disgrace for Islam and ruining the image of our peaceful religion. Unnecessary killing is strictly forbidden in Islam, yet they are continuously killing people in the name of Islam.
The difficulty with building a defense to terrorism is that the enemy is not a tangible united force. It is a fragmented and dissipated threat that springs up in individuals inspired by extremist ideologies. The individuals who develop views extreme enough to manifest themselves in evil acts of terrorism are not indicative of ardent follower of the ideologies themselves. Therefore it is too simplistic to blame any ideology for the individuals who commit hate in its name. It is therefore extremely difficult to predict where they will carry out the next act of terrorism before they hit their targets. Governments all over the world are at a loss how to exterminate the threat from these evil forces but there is no alternative to collective resistance at all levels. Humanity must be saved at all cost.
