Teenager held for selling fake SSC question papers

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a teenage boy from Dhaturpohela village under Akhaura upazila of the district on Monday for his alleged involvement in selling fake question papers of the ongoing SSC examinations.
The detainee Sohag Mia, 15, is the son from Monir Mia of Shibnagar village of the upazila and a ninth grader student of Devgram Pilot High School of Akhaura municipal area.
Chandan Debnath, Senior Assistant Director of RAB-14 Bhairab Camp informed the reporters at Brahmanbaria Press Club around 3pm on Monday.
The RAB official claimed that the teenage was earlier cheated during his JSC examination last year purchasing question papers. After that, he himself became involved with the syndicate while searching the deceiver.
Chandan Debnath said, he was collecting money from the examinees of Dhaturpohela area by selling these fake question papers of ongoing SSC examination. Acting on a tip-off, RAB members succeeded to nab him by using technology.
During interrogation, Sohag admitted that he had been involved with the syndicate as once he was himself cheated by purchasing JSC question papers.
The RAB team also seized a mobile phone set from his possession. A case against him was filed with Akhaura Police Station under ICT Act, said RAB official.
