Taramon Bibi hospitalised

Taramon Bibi, one of the two Bir Protik award winning female freedom fighters of the country, was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital here on Monday as she fell sick with respiratory problems .
Residential physician of the hospital Dr SK Apu said Taramon Bibi has been suffering from chronic lung deceases. She was kept at the Coronary Care Unit of
the hospital, the doctor added.
Taramon fought for the Mukti Bahini (Liberation Army) which was a guerrilla force that fought against the Pakistan military during Bangladesh War of Independence in 1971.
She joined the war from her village home in Shongkor Madhobpur of Kurigram district.
She was in Sector 11 under the leadership of Sector Commander Abu Taher.
