Tangail district clinched title of the JFA U-14 National Women’s Football Championship when they blanked Thakurgaon district by 3-0 goals in the grand final held on Tuesday at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed
Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
In the day’s match, Shaheda scored a brace in the 25th and 35th minute while Unnoti Khatun supported a lone goal in the 46th minute for the winners.
Shaheda of Tangail district was named the best player of the tournament. She was also emerged as the highest scorer with seven goals in the championship.
Shopna of Thakugaon district emerged as the best promising player of the meet. The fair play trophy went to Rajshahi district.
The champions received Taka 50,000 while the runners-up got Taka 25,000 as prize money.
