Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal got injury in his finger of left hand while he was fielding during a match of Everest Premier League (EPL) in Nepal on Wednesday. Then he returned to Dhaka from Nepal on Thursday. Earlier, Tamim Iqbal got injury in his knee. Tamim got injury in his knee in the mid of this year in Zimbabwe. Tamim could not play in the T20I series against Zimbabwe due to injury.
He could not take part in the in the five-match T20I series against Australia and five-match T20I series against New Zealand recently. As he was out of shorter version cricket for a long time, he pulled himself out from the ICC Cricket T20 World Cup squad.
Later, he went to Nepal for his rehabilitation. But he got injury again. He was underwent for scan and according to the scan report his finger was fractured.
Tamim said, ” I got injury in my finger of left hand. My finger was fractured, according to the scan report. I returned to Dhaka from Nepal as I got injury in my finger while I was fielding in a match of Everest Premier League (EPL) on Wednesday. So, I returned to Dhaka from Nepal after getting injury.”
Tamim have to take at least four-week leisure as his injury is serious. He was out of T20 World Cup, but he could make him fit in this time. But he missed the opportunity as he got injury again. It is a blow for the best opener of the country.
