A 10-member teachers and students team, led by Elin Hasselberg, a teacher of Malmo Borgarskula School of Sweden, called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university.
Other team members were- Per Benemark, Moltas Viebke, Tai Truong, Markus Krook, John Al-Morad, Robin Andersson, Filippa Erixon, Katja Holboll and Emma Franzon.
During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues including possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and Malmo Borgarskula School of Sweden.
The DU VC apprised the team members in brief of the history of our Liberation War and Language Movements. The team members and the VC also informed each other of academic activities of their respective institution.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
It may be mentioned that the Swedish teachers and students team is now on a visit to Bangladesh to conduct field study on various issues including environmental sciences, climate change and arsenic under the abroad study program of the Swedish government.
