Kishoreganj District Cooperatives Office and others cooperative organisations jointly arranged a colourfull rally, discussion, distributing cheque and documentary film and cultural function marking the 47th National Cooperatives Day on Sunday.
A discussion meeting on ‘Let’s do productive co-operatives, build Bangladesh’ held at Local Co-operative Community Center in the town on Sunday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and Police Super Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM were attended as chief and special guest while District Co-operative Officer Abdur Rashid Reza presided over.
 It was addressed among othes by ADC (Gen) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil, District Awami League President Adv Kamaul Ahshan Shajahan, District Co-operative Somity President Humayon Kabir. DC Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury said that urged cooperative to strengthen co-operative sector by properly using country’s limited resources.
SP Mashrukur Rahman Khaled said, our resouces are limited- the co-operations will have to productive themselves in productive activities.A colourfull rally brought out in the town marking the day.
Dupchanchia (Bogura) Correspondent reports: Upzila co-operative office celebrated its 47th National Cooperatives Day under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogura district on Sunday.
Marking the Day, upazila Cooperative Office has chalked out the elaborate programmes ahead of theme of the day “Let’s build co-operative-based society”.
Meanwhile, the authority concern has celebrated the Day with a call to strengthen the co-operative movement in the society to lead the country towards desired development.
Colorful rally was brought out from the upazila premises and ended at the same venue after parading the main roads of the town on the day.
A large number of upazila level officials, cooperative members, social workers, and NGO activists including journalists of print media attended the programmes.
Later, a discussion meeting was also held at the auditorium with upazila co-operative officer Ferdus Rahman in the chair while UNO SM Zakir Hossain speaking as chief guest.
Kapasia (Gazipur) Correspondent says: The 47th National Cooperatives Day was celebrated in Kapasia through various programmes keeping the theme ‘Make a cooperative based society, ensure sustainable development’ on Sunday. Rallies, tree plantation, donation, cooperative credit distribution, discussion meeting and award of award to the co-workers were held..
On Sunday morning, a rally was started from the Upazila Parishad Complex in the Upazila Cooperative Office. In order to accept the share of the common people, the rallies circulate the main streets of the city.

Later, Upazila Parishad Auditorium Upazila Cooperative Officer Mohammad Golam Morshed Mridha chaired the discussion and highlighted the significance and significance of the day. The Chief Guest, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nilima Raihana, spoke on the occasion.

After the discussion meeting, a special honorary memorial was given for the work of the best co-operatives and co-workers.
BSS from Rangpur adds: Strengthening of the cooperative movement has become indispensible to further enhance productivity in every rural sector for attaining the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by cutting poverty.
High officials and cooperative activists made these observations at a post-rally discussion organised by the Divisional Cooperatives Office at Town Hall here on Sunday afternoon in observance of the 47th National Cooperative Day.
Earlier, the Divisional Cooperatives Office brought out a rally on the city streets with participation of government officials and employees, leaders and activists of different cooperative organisations, civil society members and elite.
Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Joynul Bari led the rally and addressed the discussion as the chief guest with local cooperative activist Mohammad Ali Jinnah in the chair.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Rangpur Range of Bangladesh Police Devdas Bhattacharya, Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib and Joint Registrar of Divisional Cooperatives Office Md Ameer Azam addressed as special guests.
District Cooperative Officer Tauhiduzzaman Khondker delivered welcome speech discussing the laudable successes already achieved through cooperativeactivities to increase productivity and develop human resources in last 10- year.
He emphasised on ensuring good governance in the cooperative organizations at the grassroots levels to enhance productivity, achieve self-reliance through self-employments, cottage enterprises and industries.
Ameer Azam suggested for ensuring proper management in disbursing cooperative loans among the poor to enhance productivity for eliminating poverty from the society on way to achieve all targets and goals of the SDGs by 2030.
The DIG stressed on providing skill enhancement training to the unemployed ,rural youths, including women, through cooperative societies to assist them in alleviating poverty through income generation activities.
The chief guest called for enhancing cooperative loan schemes for small and marginal farmers, entrepreneurs and backward sections to change fortune of the cooperative members across the country.
“A successful cooperative movement would enhance productivity in all rural sectors to build a middle income nation by 2021 and a developing country by 2024 and achieving the SDGs by 2030 on way to build a developed Bangladesh by 2041,” he added.
