Stocks performed mixed on Tuesday with major indices of the both Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges finishing flat.
The broader DSEX index of Dhaka Stock Exchange closed the day with 6.62 points down at 5,777.95. The blue-Chip DS30 also followed the same trend with 2.93 points down at 2,176.15. But the Shariah DSES closed the day with 2.14 points up at 1,355.79.
At DSE, out of the day’s 335 securities, prices of 126 securities closed higher against 168 losing issues.
The major gaining issues were Asia Pacific, 1STPRIMFMF, CAPMIBBLMF, CAPMBDBLMF and ADVENT. The major losing issues were Republic, FASFIN, Popular Life, Style Craft and Fareast Finance.
Beximco topped the turnover list followed by Delta Life, LHBL, PHARMAID and Al Arafah Bank.
