Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – gained on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
Trading at both DSE and CSE began on positive note in the morning on Tuesday and ended the day with marginal gain.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 16.68 points or 0.35 percent to reach 4703.87 at the close of trading on Tuesday. Of the 290 issues traded, 172 gained, 88 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 462.82 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Beach Hatchery, Aamra Tech, Metro Spinning, ICB AMCL Islamic Mutual Fund, Makson Spinning, Sonargaon Textiles, BD Com, Anlima Yarn Dyeing, Golden Harvest, and BD Welding.
