The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) continued to maintain upward trend for the second consecutive day on Wednesday after recovering the falling trend of first two days of the week as the day finished 2.91 points up at 4412 points which was 3.68 points up at 4409.09 on Tuesday.
The Shariah DSES also saw uptrend to close at 1086.10. But the blue-chip DS30 slightly down by 0.52 point to finish the day at 1738.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the day up, with its major CSCX index closing about 1.60 points up at 8250.68.
The daily turnover in volume at DSE is about 9.83 crore shares when the daily trade value is about Taka 357.67 crore.
Among the traded 322 issues at DSE, 135 closed upper against 122 losing issues. At CSE, 96 issues up when 80 finished the day lower.
The top five gaining companies in DSE were Goldenson, Emeraldoil, 7th ICB , Anwargalv and Qsmdrycell . The major losers included Shyampsug, Padma Life , Kay and Que , Kbppwbil and Gemini Sea .
ACME Lab topped the turnover list followed by Aman feed, BBS, Emerald Oil and Qsmdrycel
