Social welfare minister inaugurates computer training course

A 3-month free basic computer training course has been inaugurated under the Basic IT Training (2nd Phase) Project for Marginalized Population in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communication Technology. Social Welfare Minister Alhaj Nuruzzaman Ahmed MP was the chief guest at the organization of Profit Foundation at Kaliganj Upazila Parishad Auditorium yesterday.
Lalmonihat District Commissioner Md. Abu Zafar spoke as special guest and chief speaker. Under the chairmanship of Kaliganj Upazila Executive Officer Md. Abdul Mannan, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Israt Jahan Chani, Thana Officer Incharge ATM Golam Rasul, Upazila Engineer Abu Taiyab Md. Shamsuzzaman spoke at the training inauguration. Executive Director of Profit Foundation Md Nuruzzaman Ahmed also spoke on behalf of the trainees Takia Jahan.
200 marginalized people will be trained in a 3-month free basic computer training course in Kaliganj, Aditmari and Hatibandha upazilas keeping in mind the motto “If you take up computer training, you will find work at home and abroad”.
