Slaughtered dead body of a missing truck driver recovered from beneath of the sand of under constructing Abdur Rob Serniabad Divisional Truck Terminal on Friday evening.
The victim was identified as Muhammad Ujjal Haoladar, 24, son of Mostafa Haoladar from Gonpara area under Barishal Airport Police Station in ward-29 of the city, said Mahbub Hossain, officer in charge of the police station.
Quoting Parvin Aktar, mother of the victim, police official informed Ujjal to drive truck went out from home on Thursday morning.
However his mobile phone found switched-off and became missing as he failed to return home at night.
The shoes of the victim found near the truck terminal on Friday noon and after following the recovered shoes, dead body concealed beneath the sand of the under construction truck terminal was recovered at afternoon, he added.
Police sent the dead body to SBMCH morgue for autopsy after lodging a case, police sources said.
