Speakers urged the students to be committed to achieve their cherished goal with a view to build themselves as a future leader and the country in the spirit of Liberation War.
They expressed this view at the youth summit-3 held on Monday at the auditorium of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) with the theme of ‘Let’s have a dream’.
The summit was held with an objective to learn lesson of students from the life sketch of some successful people of the country with a slogan ‘Listen to the successful people.’
Center for Developing Management Excellence (CDME) organized the programme, supported by KUET, Rotary Clubs and other different organizations.
Vice-Chancellor of KUET professor Dr. Muhammed Alamgir addressed the summit as the chief guest while parliament member of Khulna-2 constituency Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Sales, Marketing and Management Specialist SAM Shawkat Hossain and Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Masud Ahmed was present as the key note speakers.
Vice-Chancellor of North South University professor Dr. Atiqul Islam, Managing Director of Dhaka WASA Engineer Taqsem A Khan, ex-Managing Director (MD) of Karnaphuli Insurance Co. Ltd. Md. Hafizullah, ex-MD of Desh Upodesh Ltd Architect Munirul Haque, Commissioner of Income Tax of Bangladesh F H Arif, Barrister Mutasim Billah Faruqui, CEO of Assurance Developments Ltd
Engineer Md. Arifur Rahman and MD of Gazi Medical College Hospital Dr. Gazi Mizanur Rahman addressed as the guest speakers.
The chief guest asked the students to become worthy citizens of the
country and devote themselves in building a happy, prosperous, hunger free
and an enlightened nation in the spirit of Liberation war.
Bangladesh is not a bottomless basket, he said adding that we have
standing as a proud nation globally led by Sheikh Hasina through implemented
Millennium Development Goal (MDG).
Students, teachers, employees of KUET and other educational institutes,
attended the programme.
