Indra Road Krira Chakra, Gopibagh Friends and Dhaka Cricket Academy won their respective matches of the Dhaka Second Division Cricket League held on Monday at three separate venues in the city’s adjoining area.
At Jahangirnagar University ground, Indra Road KC drubbed Fear Fighter Sporting Club by nine wickets. Batting first, Fear Fighters were bowled out for 102 and in reply Indra Road raced to 105 in 7.1 overs.
At City Club ground, Gopibagh Friends recorded an exciting two wickets win over Dhaka Royal. Batting first Dhaka Royals scored a mammoth 374 for 9 in their 50 overs thanks to an incredible 183 by Ali Ahmed Parvej and in reply Gopibagh Friends riding on Abu Newaz Likon’s 105 and Shabbir Aktar Raj’s 101 scored 375 for 8 in 48.3 overs.
At Fatullah Outer Stadium, Dhaka Cricket Academy beat Gulshan Youth Club by four wickets. Gulshan Youth batting first scored 207 and in reply Dhaka CA scored 213 for 6.
