Scientists of Universities present 161 research papers at JUST

Scientists of different universities across the country and Nasarawa State Polytechnic Institute, Nigeria and Indian Statistical Institute have presented a total of 161 research papers at the 32nd annual conference of Bangladesh Society of Microbiologists entitled trends in microbiology for sustainable agro-ecological development held at Jashore University of Science and Technology on Saturday.
BSM and JUST jointly organised the programme where Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, state minister for education was the chief guest.
Around 250 teachers of different universities, researchers and academics took part the programme, said Abdur Rashid, public relations officer, JUST.
The state minister, in his speech, asked the Bangladeshi researchers to translate international research in Bangla to make the people knowledgeable.
Chaired by Prof Dr Anwar Hossain, vice chancellor, JUST, the programme was attended among others by Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP, Prof Dr MA Maleq, president, BSM, Prof Dr Sabita Rizwana Rahman, General Secretary, Dr Md Iqbal Kabir Jahid, Major General (Retd) Prof Dr ASM Matiur Rahman and Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed, Professor, Haidarabad University.
