With the theme ‘blooming of science at grass root level and in a view to implementation of vision 2021,’ a three-day long Khulna divisional science and technology fair begins today (Friday) afternoon at Khulna Zila School premises.
Organised by Khulna divisional administration, the three- day fair is expected to be inaugurated by Economic Affairs Adviser to the prime minister Dr. Mashiur Rahman.
Khulna divisional commissioner Md. Abdus Samad will preside over the inagural function.
Apart from discussion meetings on utility and different aspects of holding such fair on science and technology, the other programmes of the fair are extempore speech and debate competitions on science-based themes, said a Press Information Department(PID) press release.
Such fair is needed to expose talent of young generation in science and technology related affairs for socio-economic development of the country, said Additional divisional commissioner Md. Faruque Hossain who is convenor of the fair organising committee.
