A schoolboy was found hanging in Dakbanglo para of Shahjadpur municipal area on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Shishir Ahmed, 12, son of Foyjur Rahman, hailing from Shibganj upazila in Bogra district. The class VII student of a local school used to live in a rented house.
Family members found Shishir’s hanging body at his room around 10pm and informed police, said Khawaja Golam, officer-in-charge of Shahjadpur Police Station.
On information Police recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital for an autopsy.
An unnatural death case was filed in this connection, he added.
