Chittagong city and district police in a series of drives detained 20 activists of BNP-Jamaat-Shibir from port city and three upazilas of the district on Wednesday day night.
Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district said police detained 19 activists in overnight raids at various places of Sitakunda, Hathazari and Satkania Upazilas on Wednesday night to prevent possible acts of sabotage during country-wide blockade and hartal enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.
