Recovery of medicines, medical equipment: SBMCH files case after probe committee submits report

After submission of probe committee report Barisal Sher- Ee-Bangla Medical College Hospital authority lodged a case in connection of recovery of medicines and medical equipment valued worth Tk. 1.5 million from hospital pond and ward.
Earlier police lodging separate two cases sent arrested three accused to jail on Sunday.
Dr. S M Sirajul Huq, Director, SBMCH, said authority lodged a case on Monday night in connection of recovery of the medicines and medical equipments valued worth Tk. 1.5 million from hospital pond and ward of SBMCH on Friday and Saturday.
The case was lodged with Barisal Kotwali police station after getting report of the third probe committee led by Dr. Md. Abdul Kadir, Deputy Director of the hospital, on Monday noon.
In this case Shefali Begum, fourth class employee of female medicine ward and Bilkis Begum, staff nurse of the ward, were accused, the director SBMCH told.
Earlier police lodged two separate cases in connection of recovery of medicines and medical equipments from SBMCH staff quarter, pond on Friday and from the nurse’s room of the ward on Saturday.
