Dr Sarker Amin is basically a poet. He got huge response after posted self rendered songs which lyrics and music were also composed by him. From that inspiration he has decided to release an album under the title Gaanlami.
The launching ceremony of the album titled Gaanlami Chikitsha was held at a city restaurant recently.
Noted poet Nirmalendu Goon unveiled cover of the album, while Prof Syed Akram Hossain, litterateur Syed Monjurul Islam, poet Ashim Saha, poet Kamal Chowdhury, Prof Begum Akhter Kamal, poet Mahbubul Haque Shakil, journalist Shahnaz Munni, Prof Bishwajit Ghosh, architect and writer Shakoor Majid, artist Samar Majumder, actor Khairul Alam Sabuj, Dr Anu Hossain, poet Shoaib Jibran, poet Obaed Akash, among others, were also present on the occasion.
There are 10 songs in the album which lyrics, tunes and music were composed by singer himself. S R Sajib has coordinated its music. Dr Sarker Amin is now working as Deputy Director at Bangla Academy.
