Salim Rahman and Hafez Mohammad Enayet Ullah have been elected Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Executive Commitee of the Board of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited respectively. They were elected unanimously in the 351st board meeting of the bank held on Thursday, said a press release.
Chairman Salim Rahman’s father Khalilur Rahman is a prominent businessman and founder of KDS Group. Currently Salim Rahman is the Managing Director of KDS Group, which consists of KDS Garments Industries Limited, KDS Accessories Limited, KDS Apparels Limited, KDS Logistics Limited, KDS IDR Limited, KDS Textiles Limited, KYCR Coil Industries Limited, Steel Accessories Limited, KDS Poly Industries Limited. He held the position of director of another private bank for 15 years before joining as director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited. Salim Rahman has earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the USA.
Vice Chairman Hafez Mohammad Enayet Ullah is one of the founder directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited. He is a prominent industrialist and businessman. He also is the President of Moulvi Bazar Merchant Association and Bangladesh Whole Sale Spices Merchant Association.
