Bangladesh Railway started selling of Eid advance train tickets on Wednesday.
The Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on August 22.
Huge gathering of passengers were found in long queues at Kamalapur Railway Station before the counters on Wednesday to collect tickets for August 17.
Many passengers passed Tuesday night on the station platform to buy tickets. Many others joined them on Wednesday morning.
But they said that they failed to buy AC tickets after waiting for hours in long queue. The railway sources said that the AC tickets were exhausted just after start as demand for that class of tickets was high.
The sale of tickets began at 8:0am and each passenger could purchase maximum four tickets.
Official sources of Kamlapur Station said, the advance tickets for August 18, 19, 20 and 21 will be available on August 9, 10, 11 and 12 respectively.
Besides, the return tickets for August 24 will be available on August 15 and for August 25 on August 16, for August 26 on August 17, August 27 on August 18 and for August 28 on August 19.
Officials said 18 special train services will serve the Eid travelers before and after the Eid.
