Saif Powertech is the sponsor of upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football.
An emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF took the decisions about the BPL. President of Bangladesh Football Federation Kazi Salahuddin presided over the meeting.
Senior Vice-President of BFF and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy disclosed all the matters related to the mega football event at the conference room of BFF House on Thursday.
Abdus Salam Murshedy said, ” Saif Powertech will give Taka twenty crore to BFF. An agreement will be signed between BFF and Saif Powertech. As per agreement Saif Powertech will give BFF Tk four crore every year to run the competition smoothly. The duration time of the contract will be five tears.”
The BPL will start on July 15.
A total of 12 teams will play in the BPL home and away basis. They are: Dhaka Abahani Limited, Feni Soccer Club, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Chittagong Abahani Limited, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited, Brothers Union Limited, Uttar Baridhara Club, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Team BJMC, Rahmatganj MFS.
The delegation of BFF visited seven venues of the country. They are: Bangabandhu National Stadium, MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Barisal and Gopalganj.
Saif Powertech, the sponsor of the meet will get 75 percent of the ticket wrights. Rest of the money will get District Football Associations and BFF.
Abdus Salam Murshedy said, ” We will discuss with the participating teams soon.”
