Business Desk :
COVID-19 has brought different changes in our life. Entire world has to face the impacts of this new normal. The pandemic has shown many ups and downs in our life. Now we are trying to adapt with the new normal, actually we need to adapt for our own survival.
This pandemic has opened new scope for entrepreneurs. As people cannot show up physically, online business or e-commerce is getting popular day by day. Entrepreneurs are coming up with innovative ideas for online businesses. Online platforms have become a snowball effect for entrepreneurs. At this point, after dealing with Covid for almost 2 years, people have changed their consumer behavior a lot than in the past. Now, people want to go out less to buy any commodity for themselves. They are now likely to get their necessary items at their doorsteps. In this case, technology and social media has a vital role for the flourishing of online businesses. Lying in the bed and scrolling down to the newsfeed of Facebook and Instagram, people are choosing their desired products, ordering them and receiving the parcel within the next 2/3 days.
While talking about online business, the first and foremost issue that comes up is TRUST issues. Fraud can be done easily in online business from both the owner and customer side. It is high time this issue is looked after by the ICT Act of Bangladesh and authorities of legal affairs. There are more issues of online business, like fragile products, delivery issues etc. Apart from this, not only our economy but the economy of the whole world has been positively impacted by online businesses and both old and new entrepreneurs are entering spontaneously to this new business world.
