Crop insurance to
save agriculture
Bangladesh is a major agricultural country. The country’s economy is still dependent on agriculture. Therefore, agriculture and crop insurance are needed to save agriculture and farmers. Agriculture and crop insurance is an economic security measure for agro-productive and agriculturally dependent people. Agricultural insurance coverage cover crop farmers, fish farmers, cattle breeders and other farmers involved in agriculture.
Agriculture and crop insurance on the one hand compensates the farmers for the losses of natural disasters and on the other hand protects the farmers from falling prices of agricultural products. In many parts of the world, there are crop insurance services that provide the necessary assistance and support to farmers in providing economic security.
As Bangladesh is a major agricultural country, the farmers have to be brought under crop insurance.

Justice must not be delayed
We are feeling very glad by the verdict of Cox’s Bazar court in the case of murder of Major (retd) Sinha shot dead by police at a check post in Cox’ Bazar. The mastermind was Pradeep, the then officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.
Pradeep and Liaqat were given death sentence and six others were given life sentence. We hope the sentences will be executed without delay .We are appalled that police could become so demonic who are employed to save lives.
I detest those lawyers who fight for the guilty persons.
We are looking forward to see justice in Sinha’s case and in every pending case.
