The International Peace Day was observed on Thursday all over the world including the capital Dhaka, Bangladesh to promote respect, safety and dignity for every one forced to flee their homes in search of a better life. Aiming the day a Peace Rally brought out from Jatiya Press Club organised by JMI Group (A joint venture of Japan-Korea and UK). The rally paraded around the ‘Doel Square’ and ended at the TSC square in University of Dhaka. Sawkat Hossain, General Manager, Officers of the Group and general people participated in the rally.
Besides, the Peace Day celebrations were started with a lot of enthusiasm this time in Bangladesh, many social, cultural and economical organizations, institutions and individuals have joined in the effort of propagating the message on the occasion. The theme for 2017 is “Together for Peace, Respect, Safety and Dignity for All”.
