Promoting discipline in society

The most spoken word in the country’s present politics is communalism. The Students’ Favourites Dictionary defines communalism as adherence and partiality to a (particular) community. In the book named ‘Political Theory (Principles of Political Science) written by R.C.Agarwal, an Indian, at page No. 173, it has been written that religion has helped to a great extent as a cementing factor in political organization.
Islam successfully united all the warring tribes of Arabia. Religion disciplined the public and taught people how to obey the king or the government. Religion also taught people how they should behave. Religion is a very good thing because it preaches morality and love for human beings.
Religion is not to blame if politicians use and exploit it for selfish ends. Islam is also a religion nominated by Allah. He has decreed the way of life in the Holy Quran. Islam has its own philosophy, tagging social responsibilities with religious rituals. According to the Hadith No. 246 of Hadith-e-Qudsi, Allah says, “I accept Namaj (Prayers) of that person only who is humble to My greatness, guards own instinct against doing what I have forbidden, feeds the hungry, clothes the clotheless, shelters the strangers, show kindness to the poor, and all these he does out of love of Me.”
Now if I invite a man to prayer, then should I be called communal, or a right man? According to our principles of faith, every religious ritual is tagged with social responsibility. One without the other is incomplete. I think that our friends will now realise the reality.
