 Love for Football

The national flags of some of the nations participating in the 20th World Cup Football still flutter atop the private buildings in and around the city and the countryside. These flags were hoisted before the start of the competition on June 12, but have not been taken down though the tournament concluded on July 13. It amounts to our unconsciousness about flag rules.
We all love soccer because of its universal appeal and excellent footwork. Soccer is the most popular sports in our country and it is the duty of the Bangladesh Football Federation and the government to improve the quality of our football. Current SAF Football Champions war torn Afghanistan has set an example of tremendous progress in soccer. The Afghan people have defied Taliban Muslim Militia and the American’s gunpowder to boost their national players. But they do not hoist flags of other countries during the World Cup Football.
We hope that the local administration will ask the people to take down the flags with appeal not to repeat in future.
