The Police Training Center (PTC) in Rangpur has observed the historic March 7 on Sunday.
Rangpur Police Training Center Commandant DIG Basudeb Banik presided over the function. Additional DIG Abul Kalam Azad, Superintendent of Police (Training) Sajjadur Rahman, Superintendent of Police (Administration) Shamima Parveen were present on the occasion.
Police members of PTC participated in handing over wreaths and guard of honor to Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu’s speech was also broadcast at the PTC premises throughout the day.
After the ceremony and the final recommendation of the United Nations for the transition from Bangladesh LDC to a developing country, a pleasant cultural program was served to celebrate the joy. In the evening, lighting was provided at the PTC installations. All the police members, trainee members and officers of the Police Training Center in Rangpur took part in the day-long function.
