Rangpur Haribhanga farmers want spl mango bus service

Traders and concerned people have demanded to ensure fair price of Haribhanga mango, which is incomparable in taste and smell. They also demanded speedy renovation of roads and drainage of public toilets in Padaganj market. The farmers have demanded the launch of a special bus service for the transportation of mangoes.
After that the marketing of pottery will start. This year, about two and a half thousand hectares of orchards have been harvested. Farmers and traders have said that if the Corona situation is under control, broken mangoes will be sold for over Tk 100 crore. They made the remarks at an exchange meeting held at Padaganj High School ground in Khoragachha union of Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur on Monday afternoon.
The traders and farmers said that not only that, the fair price of mangoes is ensured and special bus and train services are demanded to increase the transport facilities. Although a huge mango market has been set up in Padabganj and Rangpur, there is no shed for selling mangoes in the city.
They demanded the government to take effective steps to expand the market and increase cultivation. Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Hasib Ahsan was the chief guest at the meeting chaired by Mithapukur UNO Mannan Bhuiyan.
