GM Abdullah Al Rakib of Bangladesh Navy earned 6.5 points and sharing the 2nd position in the points table along with other 4 players after the 9th round games of the 8th Mumbai Mayor’s Cup International Open Chess Tournament now being held in Mumbai, India.
GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited bagged 6 points and sharing the 3rd position along with other 17 players. GM Enamul Hossain Razib of Bangladesh Navy earned 5.5 points, M Abul Kashem of Dhaka Chess Club secured 3 points and Kazi Mahbub Afzal of Dabanal Chess Club collected 2 points after the 9th round games.
In the 9th round games held today, Rakib beat Kulkarni Rakesh of India, Zia beat IM Shivananda BS of India, Kashem beat Afzal and Razib lost against IM Azaladze Shota of Georgia.
