Regulator fines one company, five directors

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) penalised a company and five directors of another company for non-compliance of the securities related laws, according to web-postings of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
BSEC fined Taka 5 lakh to Salvo Chemical Industry Limited for non-compliance with the securities related laws.
Five directors including the managing director Feroz Alam of Shahjibazar Power Company Limited (SPCL) were also fined Taka 10 lakh each for flouting rules. The four other directors are: Rezakul Haider, Anis Salahuddin Ahmad, Shamsuzzaman and AKM Badiul Alam.
Against the backdrop of the regulatory against the directors, SPCL became the worst losing issue at DSE with incurring 9.29 percent losses.
